On the wedding day, Liddy gets doubts and says she doesnt want to get married. Bobby walks by the lottery/tobacco shop and hears that he has won 5000 dollars. Upon hearing this the father slips a note to Bobby saying that his daughter deserves a chance to revenge herself (?) by getting married again, and this time refusing him openly. Bobby goes to the wedding room, and says he will marry Liddy. After this Liddy says she will too and the two are married!

Translated title: Do you want to marry my daughter?
Possible identification: Wollen Sie meine Tochter heiraten (Danny Kaden, Germany, Vitascope, 1914)
Actors: Ernst Lubitsch (?), Hedda Vernon (?)
Language: Dutch intertitles
Remarks: the edgemark is from the early 1920s, and in the tobacco shop there is a plakat of Garbaty cigaretten (I believe in the 20s style). On the other hand, the film and the characters could easily be from the mid-'10s. hard for me to tell.

Commentary
In any case, Liddy Booker is played by the great comédienne and cabaret singer, Rosa Valetti. The name "Bobby Troddy" seems to have been modeled after Bobby Dodd, the detective character in Ewald G. Seeliger's novel "Peter Voß, der Millionendieb", published in 1913 and made into a film in 1921. In 1922, the actor Guido Herzfeld produced two movies whose main character, played by himself, was called, alas, Bonifacius Trott. And probably it's Herzfeld who played Bobby Troddy, Miss Liddy's sweetheart ... What a mess!
Mischa von Perger, 10.08.2011
Its indeed Rosa Valetti and Guido Herzfeld acting, but not in the film "Bonifacius Trott: Er wird ein reicher Mann“ from 1922.
Based on an advertisement and a review in “Kinematographische Rundschau” (Vienna), the film has now been definitely identified as the short “Wollen Sie meine Tochter heiraten?” from 1914 (411 m), based on a book by Richard Oswald, starring Rosa Valetti, Guido Herzfeld and Siegfried Barisch.
The film is praised in the advertisement as an “American burlesque”.
The film was directed by Nunek Danuky (= Danny Kaden).
