Commentary
The archive of Freunde der Deutschen Kinemathek holds a fragment of the film (Nr. 1659 and 1665, 16 mm, b/w, sound, 91,1 m = circa 8 minutes). Credits of the copy: "EVERYTHING TURNS (1929) by Hans Richter/ Also a documentary - but a comic one. One of the first European sound films and one of the last of the avant-garde experimental films."
Translated from:
Freunde der Deutschen Kinemathek e.V. (eds.), 'Hans Richter. Film ist Rhythmus', Kinemathek 95, Vol. 40, Berlin, 2003, p. 113.
"There are two fragments of different length, both on 16mm unfortunately: one eight-minute-long copy (11521 frames) as well as a four-minute-long one, which does not contain any new material but only the second sequence from the eight-minute copy."
Translated from:
Jeanpaul Goergen, 'Hans Richter: Poesie als Programm', Filmblatt 28, Vol. 10, Berlin, autumn 2005, p. 29.
The Deutsches Filminstitut - DIF holds a 16mm fragment (5210 frames, 39,7m) of the film with English main title. Thanks to Michael Schurig, Deutsches Filminstitut - DIF, for providing this information.
