At Bundesarchiv a nitrate print fragment of "Der Fall Rosentopf" has been identified. It has been digitized and restored in 2017. The tinted fragment is 19 minutes long and contains mostly scenes from the first and second reel. The digitally restored version premiered in January 2018 during the Ernst Lubitsch Retrospective at Arsenal - Institut für Film und Videokunst in January 2018, while the international premiere happened at the Il Cinema Ritrovato festival in Bologna later at the same year. The DCP with the restored fragment can be obtained at Bundesarchiv for public screenings.
