The former Suomen elokuva-arkisto (Finnish Film Archive, now Kansallinen audiovisuaalinen arkisto or the National Audiovisual Archive of Finland) conducted a restoration of the film, sponsored by the Haghefilm Conservation Centre in Amsterdam, in 2002. The restoration was based on a tinted and toned nitrate print from the archive's collection. The combined Finnish-Swedish inter-titles were taken from a 1947 reissue version. A new colour positive print was produced using the Desmet method, developed by the head of Cinémathèque Royale de Belgique's laboratory, Noël Desmet. This print was screened during the 22nd Pordenone Silent Film Festival in Sacile, Italy, in October 2003.
