IT: Dr. Med. Bistouri; August wird vom Fieber ergriffen

Short synopsis:
August's face is injured (we don't know the reason). He goes home with his wife who wants to help him. She dresses the wounds putting bandage all around his head and searches in the case the calling card of Dr. Bistouri. After that, she leaves August home alone and goes to the doctor. August has fever and wants to drink a glass of water. All of the pitchers are empty in the flat, so he goes to the corridor to the drinking fountain. He is just filling his pitcher when the draught slams the door. August panics and wakes up his neighbour, who is frightened by him, puts him out and sprinkles him with water. Then he looks in the janitor's room through the window, but he is frightened too and puts him out to the street. The policeman comes and wants to see him in. They are just going in front of Bistouri's house when his wife and the doctor are coming out. They are taking him inside and the doctor is putting a mask on his face, so August can't see that they are in love.

Commentary
Going by the information contained in the Siegen Cinema Databases, August seems to have been the name the Germans gave to "Gaétan", a recurring character in Comica productions of the teens portrayed by Jules Vial.
From the content description available on the Fondation Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé website and elsewhere, I reckon this film could very well be Une chute grave released in August 1914.
