Tajemnica przystanku tramwajowego
director: Jan Kucharski
year: 1922
country: Poland
Kazia, a seamstress, is engaged with Miecio, a barber. One day, she meets count Opolski at a tram stop, and the aged sugar daddy.
Marveled at his style, she leaves her home, her mother, her younger brother and her fiancé for him, and begins to enjoy life in the world of the famous and wealthy. However, the count gets bored with the girl fairly quickly and leaves her. Kazia, who is pregnant with him, throws herself under a tram and dies. Count Opolski has terrible pricks of conscious. He recalls the moment they met. He is hunted by the vision that he’s sitting in the barber’s chair and Kazia’s furious fiancé, Miecio, cuts his throat while shaving him.
