Ein gestörtes Rendezvous (A Disturbed Meeting). A woman pretends to be sick; her husband bids farewell [frame scan 1]. The lover arrives, starts to undress. The husband returns unexpectedly [frame scan 2]. His wife pleads forgiveness [frame scan 3]. On the stairs, the caught lover gets dressed again and disguises himself as a woman in another apartment [frame scan 4]. A man makes a pass at him on the street [frame scan 5]: A slapstick chase begins!

Commentary
The man in the frame scans is Max Linder. Judging by the age of the film and of what I've heard this looks like "Les péripéties d'un amant" from 1907. It was made by Pathé Freres. Copies are held in Berlin and Bois d'Arcy.
