Brief synopsis
Fragment of a film. Two men, George Surrey and Murrel, are rescued after they have been shipwrecked on a deserted island. They are taken to England. People who are not happy with their return plan to stop them.
Detailed synopsis
The first scene takes place in a forest, with a lion. Two men on the beach.
Cines intertitle no. 45. Schip in zicht. [ship in sight]
The men wave at the ship. The captain on the ship gives instructions, a lifeboat is lowered and the men are picked up. The men talk to the captain [see picture].
Cines intertitle no. 46. Eindelijk op weg naar Engeland [at last on the way to England]
Cines intertitle no. 47. Wat niemand vermoed had. [what no one suspected].
A fairly well to do family is sitting at a dining table having a meal. A letter is brought in for the man at the table.
Cines intertitlel no. 48. George Surrey werd door Murrel gered. Spoedig zullen zijn in London zijn. Ik wacht je in den tuin. Freynard. [George Surrey is saved by Murrel. Soon they will be in London. I wait for you in the garden. Freynard]
He acts sad and gets up from the table and goes to another room. He shows the letter to a man there (see picture). That man panics and gets his gun. They go outside and talk.
Cines intertitle no.54. Misleid [Decepted]
A harbour with a ship. A car is waiting. On the gangway is written "Leca Battellier del [....]". Both men walk off the ship and get into the car (see picture)
Cines intertitle no. 50. Murrel weet nog te ontkomen. [Murrel knows how to escape]
The car drives away.
A man on a horse arrives at a house. A servant girl announces him to the owner of the house.
