Canal setting (would say with some certainty that this is a canal rather than a lake). - Journey along the banks of the canal. A wooden boat hut with catwalk [frame scan 1]. Wooden bank reinforcements. Tall, sturdy trees on the bank. Small rowing boats by the bank. Two men in one of the boats [frame scan 2]. Journey under an iron footbridge. A good dozen washer women inside one of the larger buildings, open out onto the water [frame scan 3]. A weir (lock?) [frame scan 4]. A tall stone bridge, only the supports of which are visible [frame scan 5]. More boat houses.

Yes the stencil quality says French production. I remember this or a very similar film in the Nederlands Filmmuseum, the Title might have been on the Rivers of the Yerre, will check

The film could be identified as "Les Bords de l'Yerres / An den Ufern des Yerres" – a Gaumont production from 1912; Nr. 3947.
Original length in Germany 1912: 89 m.
The film is preserved at EYE Film Instituut Nederland. Their print comes with the Gaumont trade mark at the end.
Many thanks to Suzan Crommelin for the identification!

Film without title or inter-titles. Identification difficult. Does not seem to be the Spreewald. Perhaps part of a nature resort (travelogue film) in France or Italy? It could be a French landscape due to the stencil colouring.
