Two fragments of the same strange (surreal) German slapstick comedy from the early twenties.
Fragment 1: Edge of a forrest. A motorbike with a Berlin license plate (IA 10915). A couple napping in the meadow. [frame scan 1] A man sits atop the motorbike, another gives him a push-start. He takes off and races through the forrest. Close-up: a small canon. A man in a shirt clutching tightly to a tree trunk. On the forrest grounds, like a 'still life': the man, the wrecked motorbike, the canon. The girl comes over [frame scan 2]. Dissolve. A scene in a ditch by a forrest road.
Fragment 2: Two vagabonds, merry companions, in the forrest. A picnic in a meadow. Slicing bread, eating and drinking. With them: a small canon. [frame scans 3, 4, 5]
