Episode 2: A rambler with a small pipe in the mountains [frame scan 4] / IT: Morgenstunde hat Gold in den Beinen. (Literally "The morning hour has gold in the legs"; a play on the expression "Morgenstund' hat Gold im Mund", which equates to "The early bird catches the worm" in English) / Mountain climber in action. / IT: Noch einer, der dem gleichen Ziel zustrebt. (Another reaching for the same goal.) / Resting in the mountains, the mountain climber smokes his pipe. His rucksack drops onto a second mountain climber. / IT: "Vorsicht da oben!" ("Careful up there!") / IT: "Glück muß der Mensch haben." ("My luck is in!") / Mountain climber picks something up; matches? / IT: "Ach, Du bist das, alter Junge? - Servus!" ("Ah, it's you, old boy? Hello!") / The mountain climbers greet each other on a small, open flat. [frame scans 5 & 6: Close-ups of both mountain climbers] / IT: "Also - gehen wir zusammen weiter?" ("So – shall we press on together?") / Both continue climbing, this time with a rope. Shot masked on either side, focussing on the mountain climbers. A fade-out mark on the film.

Probably a 'home movie' in two parts. Reason: the tone of the intertitles, some shots where the people look at the camera – typical for home movies.
