Main title missing. 1st IT: "Ich bitte, sich zu beeilen. / Bioscop-Film, Berlin [logo] 61/49." (I beg you to hurry) The story takes place in a girls' boarding school. A strict female warden. [frame scan 1] Night. A man hides behind curtains. [frame scan 2] The pupils discover him, let him into the room, he drinks a glass of "Odol" [frame scan 3], takes his boots off. The girls cautiously escort him down the stairs. [frame scans 4 & 5] He climbs out the window, one of the girls blows him a kiss. IT 52: "Und so ein reizender Mann heißt Leberecht Hasenknopf!" (And a man that attractive is called Leberecht Hasenknopf!) He runs to his car and drives off, having left his boots behind. / The three girls discuss what to do with the boots. One of them displays an advertisement: IT 55 = "D.R.R. Die roten Radler besorgen jeden Weg, leisten jede Hilfe. Spezialität: Teppichklopfen! Büro: Athletengasse 9." (T.R.R. The Red Riders provide any means, render every assistance. Speciality: Rug beating! Office: Athletengasse 9) [frame scan 6] / Ursula repairs to the warden and feigns toothache. / Ursula at the Riders'. She learns that all the Riders are out. / Meanwhile, her father arrives at the boarding school. IT: "Herr Major von Redwitz möchte seine Tochter besuchen." (Major von Redwitz would like to see his daughter). [frame scan 7] / The real Dr. Hasenknopf in his study. / Ursula puts on one of the Rider's uniforms. / Letter: "Sehr geehrter Herr Doktor! Der gestrige Tag war der himmlichste, den wir im Pensionat verlebt haben..." (Dear Doctor, yesterday was the most heavenly day we have ever spent at the boarding school...) / Ursula hands over a small package to the real Dr. Hasenknopf! [frame scan 8] Ursula busy beating the big rug. / Major von Redwitz appears. Ursula hides under the table in vain. Everything is explained [frame scan 9] and the story reaches its "happy end"! It could perhaps be "Leberechts Vertretung" (P: Deutsche Bioscop, 1917/1922). However, a permit card for this film is not available in the Bundesarchiv-Filmarchiv; also the title could not be traced there. No documentation on this film at the Deutsche Kinemathek.
