Fragment of an adventure film from the early 1920's, in which a toxicologist by the name of Dr. Max Sang plays a role.
Inside a records office, [frame scans 1, 6 & 7] secretaries, large files marked with, and sorted by, the letters of the alphabet in the background. A man makes an enquiry: IT 49: "Kennen Sie den Namen Dr. Max Sang?" (Do you know the name Dr. Max Sang?) [frame scans 2-4] - Middle-class interior: woman in distress! [frame scan 5] - Three men in a club. IT 52: "Der Ring des Unbekannten." (The Ring of the Unknown) - Woman wanders through the house, anguish. - Outside: Dr. Schmit's burial. [frame scan 8] - IT 59: "Dr. Bills Hotel" (Dr. Bill's hotel) - Hotel foyer. A telegram is sent. [frame scan 9] - A man hiding behind palm trees in the hotel foyer. [frame scan 10]
