I saw this film in a film gallery in Los Angeles. The owner said his grandfather made this film in 1904. It is about the man calling his soup too hot and his son getting ready for school. Then the film gets dark the man beats his wife and smashes his child with a chair it is very brutal. Then the child is choked and it cuts away. The shop closed weeks later and when I saw the man he said he had been robbed and the film store had been ransacked.
