Plot synopsis: (Removed approx. 400’ of decomp. throughout reel, so story is a bit choppy)

A young man named Jack innocently becomes the accomplice of a swindle. He gets talked into buying an oil well "Peoples Union Oil Co." At first everyone including his mother, girlfriend and girlfriend's father are excited and eagerly also put money into this business, but soon Jack's partner's true colors show. When they are caught, Jack's business partner says they will both go to jail. In the end, everything works out and Jack is a free man. He hugs his mother and girlfriend, smiling.

Commentary
Jack is J. Warren Kerrigan, his girlfriend is Pauline Bush, and Jack's crooked partner is Jack Richardson. This looks like one of Universal's Victor brand around 1915.

Have to see if I can find any trade magazine reviews.
